About us: Kofra Foundry Ltd., a family-owned manufacturing company since 1999, has been successfully operating in the field of aluminum die-casting. Our specialization in die-casting and processing aluminum on modern casting machines enables us to create precise and high-quality aluminum castings for various purposes.
Our products form the foundation of numerous industrial sectors. We provide everything from housings and covers for gas valves to components for automotive transmissions, electronic enclosures, and housings for water and oil pumps. Versatile and skilled
With clamping forces ranging from 560 to 1100 tons and the application of supportive processes, we ensure high quality and aesthetics of our products, in accordance with the requirements of our clients. We manufacture products for use in various industries, meeting demands for low porosity, thin or thick-walled constructions, long ribs, tightness, and other specific requirements. Our products can weigh anywhere from 70g to 7kg.

Chronological development of the foundry
COMPANY HISTORY >>>>>
1999: Lease of production premises and commencement of production under independent entrepreneurship, introducing aluminum die-casting technology (1x 160 T machine and 4 employees). 2002: Initiation of a business partnership with a strategic partner, EBM-papst Landshut GmbH. 2004: Acquisition of a production hall in Kamnik measuring 500 m2. Expansion of production capacity with a 630 T casting machine and a corresponding trimming machine.
2006: Restructuring of the company into KOFRA Foundry Ltd. 2007: Purchase and implementation of a 250 T die-casting machine to increase production capacity. 2008: Introduction of the first robotic system on the casting machine. 2010: Acquisition of an additional production hall measuring 900 m2 with additional usable land. Implementation of the ISO 9001:2008 quality standard.
2011: Purchase of an automated casting cell with a 1100 T die-casting machine, trimming machine, and robot. 2012: Automation of the 630 T casting machine into a casting cell. Purchase and implementation of a 400 T die-casting machine to further increase production capacity, along with the lease of an additional production hall measuring 1600 m2. 2013: Purchase and implementation of a new automated casting cell with a 600 T die-casting machine.
2015: Purchase and implementation of two new automated casting cells with 580 T and 630 T die-casting machines, along with the acquisition of an X-Ray machine for porosity control of castings. 2018: Recertification to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. 2019: Purchase and implementation of a new automated casting cell with a 950 T DC machine. 2020: Acquisition and implementation of an automated casting cell with a 560 T casting machine, and discontinuation of the 250 T and 400 T casting machines. 2022: Purchase of a 750 T casting machine.
